Dissecting a Computer Virus is a presentation and live demonstration designed to teach how sophisticated malware works by dissecting a computer virus live! In the demonstration, participants can watch a virus, worm, root kit and/or Trojan horse run wild, while tracing these plague's malicious activity in a Windows XP machine. Participants also learn why computer security is a layered approach, and how they can use that approach to protect their computers and personal information against these pestiferous threats.
This presentation is a joint effort of Steve Tobias and Gabriel Monge-Franco.
